There are six Cold Melee Combat Arts available to Spheromancers: two first-level, two second-level, and two third-level arts.

Ice Twirl[edit | edit source]

Ice Twirl.gif

Ice Twirl-icon.png Performs a stationary ice whirl attack with wide range and strong knockback.

Ice Twirl is a Cold-elemental, level one Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.

When using it, Lea spins around stationarily and creates an ice whirl in a large radius around her. The ice whirl damages and knocks back all enemies in its radius.

Ice Twirl has a huge radius but lacks damage. Because of this, it's more effective in damaging multiple enemies at once than dealing damage to single targets. It also lacks the mobility that the other spinning Melee Arts have, which puts Lea at a risk of being hit by projectile attacks while using the art.

Frozen Star[edit | edit source]

Frozen Star.gif

Frozen Star-icon.PNG Long startup time for massive damage. Causes Chill.

Frozen Star is a Cold-elemental, level one Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.

Upon using this art, Lea charges up an attack in front of her for a couple of seconds. After this duration, she creates a frozen star in front of her, dealing massive damage to hit foes and increasing their Chill status meter.

Frozen Star is meant for single-target damage, and is rather ineffective when dealing with groups of enemies. The long startup puts Lea at the risk of being hit by otherwise easily avoidable attacks, and the enemy can move out of the area of effect of Frozen Star. To reliably land it, it should be used when the enemy can't move out of its way, like when a Boss enemy has been broken.

Ice Tornado[edit | edit source]

Ice Tornado.gif

Ice Tornado-icon.png Extend the Ice Twirl by sucking in enemies with multiple hits and then ejecting them.

Ice Tornado is a Cold-elemental, level two Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 2 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.

When using this art, Lea first spins around and creates an icy tornado around her, damaging enemies in the radius of an Ice Twirl. She also draws in enemies from a larger radius. She then finishes the combo with a powerful strike that damages and knocks back enemies.

Ice Tornado deals about as much damage as Frozen Star, but in a larger radius, making it very effective at clearing groups. However, it can still be dangerous to use in certain situations, as it roots her in place for a long time.

Blizzard Hawk[edit | edit source]

Blizzard Hawk.gif

Blizzard Hawk -icon.PNG Take a stand and do massive damage with 3 frozen stars. Causes Chill.

Blizzard Hawk is a Cold-elemental, level two Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 2 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.

When using it, Lea starts up by charging for a few seconds like with Frozen Star. She then blasts enemies in front of her with 3 Frozen Stars, each rising the victims higher and dealing massive damage as well as inflicting Chill. They are then frozen and fall to the ground and, shattered from the impact, take a bit more damage.

Blizzard Hawk is a largely improved version of Frozen Star. It still has the same issues as Frozen Star, where its long startup might make it hard to hit and its immobility dangerous to use, but in the right situations, it can be used to deal massive damage.

Apollo uses Blizzard Hawk during his third duel against Lea, after successfully perfect guarding one of her melee attacks.

Polar Pirouette[edit | edit source]

Polar Pirouette.gif

Polar-pirouette-icon.png Begin a dance of multiple huge ice whirl attacks and lock enemies in and end it all with a massive pirouette that blasts enemies away.

Polar Pirouette is a Cold-elemental, level three Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 3 CP to activate and 6 SP to use.

When using it, Lea starts spinning around and creates huge ice whirl around her. She also draws the enemies in a even larger radius. Then she finishes the enemies off with a massive pirouette which blasts them away after performing multiple hits.

Polar Pirouette is a final improved version of Ice Tornado. The radius of the ice whirl is even larger thus it is very effective at dealing with multiple enemies. Besides, Polar Pirouette is able to interrupt changing enemies' attack. One big improvement over Ice Tornado and Ice Twirl is that Lea is no longer pinned onto the ground when performing this art, which means players are able to move Lea slowly using arrow keys to shift the center of the ice whirl. Using this technique Lea is able to hit even more enemies. Another interesting fact is that the damage type of Polar Pirouette is neither melee or ranged. Thus enemies' melee / ranged resistance makes no difference.

Eternal Winter[edit | edit source]

Eternal Winter is a Cold-elemental, level three Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 3 CP to activate and 6 SP to use.
