The Pinceron is an organic enemy in CrossWorlds. They can be encountered in Maroon Valley.

Organic
Pinceron

This creepy looking guy is the most common inhabitant of Maroon Valley. It usually poses no threat unless provoked and stays together with others of its kind. They can use their big pincers to quickly attack. The big stinger apparently has some magical properties which allows it to follow you underground and attack from below. Nature is scary.

-Monster Fibula report

Appearance[ | ]

The Pinceron is a red scorpion that has a large, flat head, two big, red pincers and a mechanical-looking tail with a metal stinger. It has two black, shiny eyes on top of its head and it has four legs at the end of its body. Its underbelly is an orange-brown.

It looks the same as the Boss Pincer, except for the colour and the eyes.

Combat[ | ]

Once engaged in combat, the Pinceron will start following Lea. It will occasionally swipe at Lea with one of its pincers, briefly flashing red before striking. During its second attack, the Pinceron will stop moving, stick its stinger into the ground and send it through the ground at Lea. Once the stinger reaches Lea, it will come out of the ground and deal damage. It does this twice before it will return the stinger to himself and return to his normal behaviour. During the second attack, it can be stunned if enough damage is dealt to it. Once stunned, the Pinceron will take reduced damage.

The Pinceron is resistant to VRP and when it isn't stunned, will always take reduced damage.

Strategies[ | ]

When fighting a Pinceron, you should stay away while it's performing its swipes and wait until it sticks its stinger into the ground. Once this happens, the quickest way to stun it is by using your VRP so that you don't have to approach it. If there are a lot of Monsters in the way, consider using a Dash Art to reach it and deal damage. Once it's stunned, try finishing it off with your Melee attacks, since the Pinceron is resistant to VRP.
