Combat Arts/Shock Melee
Tesla Twist[edit | edit source]
Tesla Twist is a Shock-elemental, level one Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.
When using it, Lea spins around, rapidly damaging enemies in a small radius around her. If she is moving while using this art, she will continue to move in the direction she was moving; however, she can't change her direction, or do anything else, after using it.
Tesla Twist has a rather small radius, but can still be used to damage multiple enemies if they are close to each other. It allows Lea to keep moving, making it superior to certain other area of effect Melee Arts in that regard, such as Ice Twirl, though it loses a bit of damage for that added benefit.
Plasma Spike[edit | edit source]
Hit a single enemy into the air following up with a lightning strike. Causes Jolt.
Plasma Spike is a Shock-elemental, level one Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.
Upon using it, Lea strikes forward, hitting the first enemy on her path. She raises that enemy into the air, causing lightning to strike it several times, dealing damage and increasing its Jolt status meter. She then releases the enemy, knocking it back.
Plasma Spike deals high single target damage, making it more useful for Boss fights than exploration.
Tesla Waltz[edit | edit source]
Tesla Waltz is a Shock-elemental, level two Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 2 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.
When using this art, Lea spins around and damages enemies around her. Hit enemies will be drawn to her if she moves away from them. After spinning for several seconds, she strikes nearby enemies with a powerful strike, knocking back and damaging hit foes. Unlike its weaker form, Tesla Waltz allows Lea to change her direction once using the art; however, she is forced to move during the spinning phase, and can't do a 180° change of direction.
Tesla Waltz allows Lea to be a lot more mobile than Tesla Twist, and fixes it's predecessor's main flaw: the lack of area of effect damage. Because it now draws in hit enemies, Lea can just spin through a group of enemies and deal the finishing strike's damage to everyone in the group.
Battery Assault[edit | edit source]
Battery Assault is a Shock-elemental, level two Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 2 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.
Upon using it, Lea strikes forward, rapidly punching the first enemy on her way. She then rises that enemy into the air, striking it a couple of times more, before finishing it off with a massive damage lightning strike. This combo inflicts Jolt and knocks the enemy back after finishing.
Battery Assault is one of the highest damage Combat Arts in the game and is excellent at killing Bosses. Because of its long attack sequence it can be initiated just before breaking one of the Boss' health segments, potentially destroying not only the current health segments but the one after that as well.
Song of Storms[edit | edit source]
Song of Storms is a Shock-elemental, level three Melee-type Combat Art. It costs 3 CP to activate and 6 SP to use.
When using this art, Lea first strikes forward, rapidly hitting the first enemy on her way, just as Battery Assault. Then she performs a spinning attack around the enemy like Tesla Twist, and creates a doppelganger in a distance. Next the doppelganger jumps to the head of the enemy and transforms into a lightning strike. Finally Lea finishes the attack with a super fast chained attack. This combo inflicts Jolt and knocks the enemy back after finishing.
Song of Storms is a combination of Tesla Twist and Battery Assault. The attack sequence is even longer thus players can enjoy Lea's actions when using this art. The usage of this art resembles Battery Assault. However it is less practical than Battery Assault for its high SP cost. It is still recommended to perform two Battery Assaults since they usually deal more damage than a single Song of Storms.
