Benedict Sidwell is a businessman and a player of CrossWorlds. He is revealed to be the main antagonist of CrossCode.

Sidwell is an eccentric businessman with a cold and calculating personality. He is the one who financed the evotar research and the one who provided Vermillion Wasteland for Satoshi, Shizuka and Gautham. Other than that, not much is known about him. |

Satoshi, Shizuka and Gautham met Sidwell some time after they all left Instatainment. He agreed to support their evotar research, starting with the Old Hideout in Sapphire Ridge. Sidwell later provided them the Vermillion Wasteland as an unofficial testing ground for evotars.
Role in CrossCode
Sidwell is first seen in Lea's dreams of the Vermillion Wasteland unidentifed. He also appears in private conversations with Gautham on a computer monitor. Satoshi reveals Sidwell by name at the end of Chapter 9. He is certain that Sidwell is watching, hence why he turns on background noise when discussing a plan to save Lea and all the evotars.
