There are four Neutral Guard Combat Arts available to Spheromancers. Due to Circuit branching, Lea can only have two of them, a first-level art and a second-level one, active at a time.

Proximity Blast

Proximity Blast

Proximity-blast-icon Blast away all nearby enemies, freeing up space.

Proximity Blast is a non-elemental, level one Guard-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.

When it is used, Lea generates a blue shockwave around her, hitting all nearby enemies for high knockback and moderate damage.

Proximity Blast is very useful for clearing out large groups of enemies that threaten the player. As a Guard Art, it is primarily a defensive move, despite the damage it deals. Its high knockback serves to keep enemies away from the player, giving them a brief respite and allowing them to escape from a potentially dangerous situation. As an added bonus, it disrupts most enemy attacks.

Guard Sphere

Guard Sphere

Guard-sphere-icon Creates a damage-reducing shield, lasting for a couple of seconds.

Guard Sphere is a non-elemental, level one Guard-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 1 SP to use.

When used, Lea creates a large bubble around her. The bubble greatly reduces damage taken and lasts for around three seconds.

Guard Sphere is the only purely defensive combat art currently available, with all other arts damaging enemies in some manner. Guard Sphere is highly useful for obtaining additional defense against powerful attacks that are telegraphed, but difficult to dodge. It allows for much greater mobility than the standard shield, making it ideal for when you must put yourself at risk of attacks in order to target an enemy's weakness.

Vortex Blast

Vortex Blast

Vortex Blast-icon Pull enemies towards you, only to blast them away with a fierce triple explosion.

Vortex Blast is a non-elemental, level two Guard-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.

When it is used, Lea draws in nearby enemies. Shortly afterwards, she explodes the area around her three times, dealing damage and knocking hit enemies far back.

Vortex Blast serves a similar function as its weaker version, but comes with added offensive capabilities. It can still be used to clear space thanks to its large knockback, but can now also deal damage in a massive area of effect, making it a powerful offensive tool.

Blade Sphere

Blade Sphere

Blade Sphere-icon Creates a damage-reducing shield that also damages nearby enemies for several seconds.

Blade Sphere is a non-elemental, level two Guard-type Combat Art. It costs 1 CP to activate and 3 SP to use.

When used, Lea creates a large bubble around her. The bubble greatly reduces damage taken and deals damage to enemies around her, lasting for around three seconds.

The same strategies Guard Sphere has also apply to Blade Sphere. It is still a mainly defensive tool, though the added damage can be useful when dealing with large groups of enemies.
