Sephisloth is an organic boss in CrossWorlds. It can be encountered in Gaia's Garden, in the Root, as part of The Root Cause quest.

Organic Boss
Sephisloth

This is the true culprit behind the infestation of Gaia's Garden. Somehow it managed to snag at the track's system and gained some serious power in return. Not only can it communicate to some degree, it also gained an appetite for everything electrical like the glowing plants. It uses the same tactics as the normal sloth but varies it up by dodging around you and using a long sword to sweep the floor with you. Additionally, it can trap you in a lightning cage and attack you with dashes multiple times.

Appearance[ | ]

Sephisloth is a black sloth with black and orange armor that covers all its body, except for its legs and its face. It might also be a cyborg, with the armor replacing parts of its body.

Combat[ | ]

This boss is mostly the same as the Behesloth. Hitting it on its belly enough times will break it.

  • Rolls in place and, after 2 purple rings center on it, charges towards the player at high speeds. Perfect blocking can break it (counter) or just push it back.
  • Pulls out a long Shock katana and swings it in an arc while leaving its belly vulnerable. If the player does hit its belly, it will quickly move behind them before slashing.
  • Begins rolling, bounces in the center of the arena and creates a square shaped lightning cage. While doing circles around it, Sephisloth charges towards the player multiple times, finishing with a normal charge after the cage has disappeared. It always uses this attack after a HP Break and cannot be countered until the square is gone.

Strategies[ | ]

Since countering doesn't break Sephisloth 100% of the time, use it only if you are experienced enough. Its sword can be dodged by dashing behind it and its lightning cage charges by dashing perpendicular to the boss. Balls deal less damage to it so melee attacks are preferred.
